I had one of those “WOW” experiences after applying just two of your tips to my game, how to hit the half-lob serve to the backhand and (almost) always hitting the down-the-line pass shot. One of my regular playing partners beats me just slightly more than I beat him. I feel like I should be able to beat him more but I just keep hitting the wrong shots. He plays very aggressively when returning serves and his court position is usually too far forward, plus he doesn’t watch when I’m hitting the ball. When I played him this weekend, I served almost nothing but the half lob to the backhand, and then focused on hitting the knee-high, down-the-line pass shots during the rallies. I absolutely DESTROYED him this time, and it felt easier than ever. He was beside himself with frustration and was trying to hit impossible shots. Thank you for those great tips!

I bought your book "Percentage Racquetball" back in August from Lawler Sports and all I can say is Thank you! I had the chance to read it cover to cover when my wife and I were waiting for the birth of our third child. The book taught me "obvious" things that I would never have applied in a game...for example stepping to the right to cover the cross court pass after serving a lob to the left. Or the best yet is stepping straight to the front wall to disguise your shot placement during rallies and serves. I am frustrating so many players! I can now hang with the guys that previously all had my number for years. One guy said to me it use to be so easy for him to just score points off of me by letting me make return errors and he wanted to know what was going on. I told him I don't skip returns, do anything stupid with returns, I go to the ceiling, or I go cross court...I no longer give away free points. Another guy told me you can stay with me or other A and open players if you just keep doing what you are doing....then I beat him the next game by 6 points. I am having a ball playing now more then ever. I am using less energy by playing smart and breathing correctly and controlling the pace of the game. Thanks a million. I would recommend the book to others, but I'm having too much fun.

I am anxious to try out the new knowledge on my buddies tonight when I play in my hometown, Wichita Falls, TX. I do want to tell you I incorporated something I read in your book in my finals match on Monday in Houston and it worked very well. Something so easy, but you just have to remember during play. Hit the ball back to where your oppenent just came from. What an easy, but effective, concept. I did win one of the divisions I entered so I will be moving up. I look forward to finishing your book and using what you teach to improve my game.

this past Saturday and Sunday were the first opportunities to use your technique. i have to admit, i felt more comfortable finishing with the racquet high, especially on the back hand. I felt like i could pull through the shot better, like you talk about 1/3 before hitting the ball and 2/3 after hitting the ball.
on the forehand, i noticed it helped me on my serve. it was a little different but when i got it right it felt good! i'm going to stick with it because it does feel better, i just didn't know exactly why it's better....it just is!
